During the Kotka days in St Petersburg, South Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) organized a cooperation seminar Learning Unlimited for its partners in the Finland House. There were representatives from Xamk and from five different partner universities in St. Petersburg. The aim of the seminar was to introduce eLearning as a learning method when students are far away or otherwise prevented from coming to the classroom.
At the seminar Xamk presented ideas of internationalization of higher education, past and future forms of cooperation, especially in the healthcare sector, eLearning and Xamk’s e-campus, entrepreneurship online course Startup Passion Mooc (https://www.xamk.fi/en/bulletins/new-opening-xamk-startup-passion-mooc/) and Finnish-Russian co-operation in the field of language and culture teaching. At present, there are many good practices in tandem teaching, integrating teaching of culture and language, and in teacher exchange with partner institution
Representatives of Xamk shared their experience in eMentoration and co-teaching and presented eLearning training in service design, which is just starting for the first time and brings new challenges for the teachers.
Xamk also presented research and project activities in logistics and shipping and a project that has developed experience-based practice and standardized competitiveness assessment for the healthcare sector.
